Riviera Nayarit, Best Places to Travel in November

The Riviera Nayarit is on the list of the “Best Places to Visit in November”
  • Condé Nast Traveler publishes its rankings of the best destinations to consider for this fall, or to bookmark for next year.

The Riviera Nayarit has been included on the list of Condé Nast Traveler’s “Best Places to Travel in November” with recommendations of destinations to consider for the fall or to bookmark for the coming year.

Journalist Mark Ellwood states that even though many of the travel constraints around COVID-19 remain, destinations are slowly adapting to new safety protocols and welcoming back visitors, which is exactly the case of Mexico’s Pacific Treasure.

Quiet and Exclusivity

Among a dozen lovely places in the United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, the Riviera Nayarit stands out for its air of quiet and exclusivity, not to mention its natural beauty: “200 miles of pristine shoreline and sunshine for 90 percent of the year against a backdrop of the Sierra Madre mountains.”

The recommendation from Condé Nast Traveler goes even further, mentioning an “added draw:” the arrival of new luxury resorts to the destination, such as the One & Only, Mandarina, opening on November 1st.

“The complex has been built right along the coast against a rainforest backdrop, with input from conservationists to ensure minimal impact on the local wildlife, including the two dozen or so endangered jaguars who roam the jungle and the extraordinary Higuera Blanca, or white fig trees, which can live for hundreds of years (the oldest on property, nicknamed La Abuela, is believed to be more than 230 years old).”

Elwood closes his article by reiterating that the list can also be a getaway planner for fall 2021 for those who are not ready to travel quite yet.

Editor’s Pick

But, that’s not all. The Riviera Nayarit is also on the list of best places in the world according to the editors of Condé Nast Traveller, chosen after pondering their vast archives of extraordinary travels and experiences. Editor Ondine Cohane chose an image and a place in the Riviera Nayarit: “El Chololo,” a beautiful semi-virgin beach located near San Pancho. Her description gives us a good indication of the amazing experience she had: “I honestly spend most the time wanting to cry from happiness.”

The inclusion of the Riviera Nayarit is, without a doubt, a result of the promotional efforts led by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), which shares information about the destination’s tourist attractions in important international media.

“This magazine is focused on the luxury traveler and invites readers to destinations that are out of the ordinary. We are proud to see Mexico’s Pacific Treasure included in the list along with other important destinations in the world,” commented Marc Murphy, managing director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).
