Mexico Travel Restrictions: The Safest Destinations to Visit in Mexico Right Now
Traveling to a different country can always be a risk, especially now with a global pandemic. While Mexico has long been a favorite country for Americans to travel to, some places are safer than others, in terms of both crime and the pandemic. Loreto
Loreto, located in Baja California Sur, is one of the oldest towns in the Mexican state and is known for being a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Go on a whale watching tour, discover dolphins swimming in the ocean as you watch some of the most beautiful sunsets around and visit the Loreto National Marine Park, home to 800 species of fish and marine life. And according to the state’s coronavirus website, Loreto has the smallest amount of cases in the state. Baja California Sur is currently under the “orange” designation in Mexico’s phased reopening system, which means that all restaurants, hotels, parks and more are operating at 50% capacity. Los Cabos
Los Cabos is most definitely the most popular destination in Baja California Sur to visit. This resort-heavy locale is actually made up of two cities: San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. It offers more than twenty miles of beachfront paradise along the southernmost tip of the state. La Paz

Right now, the state of Quintana Roo is under the “orange” phase in its reopening; however, the state’s beaches remain open, as does its hotels and resorts, which are operating at limited capacity. Cancun
Cancun is one of the most popular Riviera Maya destinations. Thanks to its close proximity to the region’s popular tourist attractions, like the various Mayan ruins, watersports activities and more, Cancun remains a noteworthy resort destination.
