Dinner is Served!  The Jaltemba Bay Rotary Club is hosting a series of mini fundraisers this winter instead of holding one large event. The first intimate private dinner is fast approaching: Monday December 13. You may be assured that each dinner will be held at a private home and limited to only the winner (up to 6 people.) To up the challenge factor, this mini event is available only through a silent auction format.  To bid one should email Helma Steward   helmas@shaw.ca or Lynn  lynn.meda@hotmail.com or go to the Jaltemba Rotary Facebook page to message, Club Rotario Bahía de Jaltemba A.C.. If you prefer to telephone, call Helma 322 371 7022. Don’t delay or you’ll miss out!

The first dinner venue offers a stunning ocean view, with appetizers at 4:45 pm. A look at the full menu will have you salivating. The culinary experience begins with appetizers of mushrooms caps and blue cheese empanaditas.  The entre is Mango glazed chicken breast stuffed with pate, accompanied by roast potatoes with garlic and fresh herbs and curried carrots. Dessert is a delectable trifle. Set ups include water, soft drinks, juice, coffee or herbal tea from the garden. Bring the alcohol of your choice.

All covid health protocols will be followed to provide a safe and enjoyable evening.

For those who aren’t aware, the local branch of Rotary International has been active in Jaltemba Bay since 2008. The club’s mission is “To provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.” For the Jaltemba Bay branch this means providing scholarships to Conalep high school students, supporting families with dire health emergencies, providing food to those in need and many other initiatives.  You can attend a meeting each Wednesday morning at the Pina Colada Restaurant on the lateral road in Guayabitos. Meetings generally run between 7:30 – 9:30 AM.

The group has two additional exclusive specialty dinners planned for December so watch for more information on social media. Plus their fundraising members have a great variety of interesting and fun things planned throughout the winter.

Purchase the private dinner party as a great seasonal gift for you and your family!  You’ll have a memorable evening and help our community at the same time.
