Meet Jo Lorimer
“I live in Reforma #25 in the Col. Hidden Paradise in La Peñita de Jaltemba. I am a fused glass artist, I have a studio and gallery here in La Colonia. I’m originally from New York, but I’ve lived in this La Peñita Bay for 20 years.. Selling my artwork and making stained glass for clients.
There are so many things to do in Paradise but an exceptionally rewarding one is creating a piece of artwork for yourself or friends back home.
Located in La Penita Nayarit, the Glassworks Studio is close enough to Puerto Vallarta for a day trip. We recommend an overnighter at least to explore the area that has become a meca for snowbirds in Canada and the US. It will be worth your trip.
The studio is the brainchild of Jo Lorrimer whose goal is to open peoples hearts and minds to the creative process where one can express themselves, learn new mediums, and foster new (and old) friendships.
It works.
Her skillset is impressive: Stained Glass, Fused Glass, Glass Mosaics, Pottery, Silk Painting and Stone Sculpture.
The classes are fun and the instruction is exceptional. The studio offers each individual a unique experience. The students/artists are at multiple levels of expertise and share with each other their knowledge, ideas and friendship.
Jo is flexible. If you want to organize a special class with friends or learn a new medium, you should speak to her directly. A wealth of knowledge.
No prior experience is necessary, and the prices are very reasonable. Create. Have Fun. Laugh together.
