Beoca covers or jail: Nayarit will penalize those who do not use it on public roads after a law reform .

The local Congress of Nayarit approved a reform to the state’s Civic Culture Law, to penalize the disuse of the mask.

In other words, the use of the mask will be mandatory on public roads throughout the state.

Thus there will also be penalties for not obeying this new provision.

The fine will be up to 1700 pesos or 36 hours in prison will be served.

Neither can you deliberately spit on the street or expel bodily fluids.

This provision seeks to prevent further infections of COVID-19.

It was originally proposed by the governor of Nayarit, Antonio Echevarría García.
