A look at what is happening on the Riviera Nayarit coast this week, Sunday, November 1 to Sunday, November 8, 2026. Most organizers have not published start times, so confirm details with each venue or organizer before you go.
Sunday, November 1
- Surf tournament finals and awards. Playa Principal, Sayulita. This is the last day of the Torneo Internacional de Surf, Dia de Muertos (October 29 to November 1). No award time has been announced.
- Dia de Muertos celebration with altars, parades and food. Playa Principal, Sayulita (October 31 to November 2, per the Bahia de Banderas tourism office). No daily schedule had been published at the time of writing.
- Dia de Muertos festival activities. Bucerias, San Pancho (San Francisco), San Juan de Abajo and Valle de Banderas. The festival runs through November 2, but the days and times for these towns had not been published. San Juan de Abajo is listed with altars, a parade, music and dance.
- Catrinas Fest, final day. Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita (October 30 to November 1). Community altar, live shows and children’s workshops.
- Sunday market with live music. La Cruz Marina, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Listed as running Sundays from November to April, roughly mid-morning to early afternoon. The 2026 opening date is unconfirmed.
Monday, November 2
- Dia de Muertos celebration and festival closing. Playa Principal, Sayulita.
- Monumental Catrinas exhibition, last days. Malecon, Puerto Vallarta, through November 3. This is in Jalisco, just south of the Nayarit line.
Tuesday, November 3 and Wednesday, November 4
No events confirmed.
Thursday, November 5 to Sunday, November 8
- Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf, 15th edition (November 5 to 8). Punta Mita. Food, wine and golf. The Punta Mita Golf Cup final round is followed by the closing dinner on Saturday, November 7 at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita. Tickets start at US$800, with packages that include lodging at the St. Regis or Four Seasons.
- Mercado del Pueblo, Friday, November 6. Calle Revolucion, across from Escondido Bar, Sayulita. Listed as a Friday market from November to April, 10 am to 2 pm. The 2026 start date is unconfirmed.
- Sunday market, November 8. La Cruz Marina, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Unconfirmed, as above.
