MEXICO ROAD & HIGHWAY UPDATE · OCTOBER 26, 2026

Truckers’ protests: reported disruptions across Mexico

National coverage of reported closures, partial restrictions and announced demonstrations.

Truckers’ demonstrations are affecting roads in several regions of Mexico. This is not a nationwide highway shutdown: conditions vary between roadside gatherings, slow-moving convoys, partial restrictions and some complete blockades.

How long will it last? Organizers describe the national action as indefinite. No confirmed nationwide ending time has been announced. Individual protest locations may clear at different times; an indefinite protest does not mean every road is continuously blocked. National report.

This bulletin brings together reports published at different times on October 26. It is not live monitoring. Earlier closures are identified by their reporting times and should not be treated as confirmed current closures without a fresh check.

Northwest and Pacific routes

  • Sonora — Highway 15 corridor: organizers announced gatherings at Hermosillo’s north and south exits from around 9–10 a.m. local time, with no highway blockades planned. This announcement does not confirm conditions along the entire Nogales–Hermosillo–Navojoa corridor. Sonora report.
