World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ Featured Riviera Nayarit


Riviera Nayarit, Mexico – The 2015 edition of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants event, held in London, England earlier this month, had a special guest: Riviera Nayarit’s Ambassador of Mixology, Israel Diaz, who fascinated the audience with his “Evolutionary Cocktails.”

The Mexico Tourism Board invited Diaz to represent Mexico at the event and present the tropical flavors of the Riviera Nayarit not just to London, but to the world.

“The destination was promoted through cocktails that are popular in the area. The cocktails are made with fresh tropical fruit that has adapted to Nayarit’s fertile fields thanks to the diversity of the region’s climate and soil. In addition to the cocktails, we presented Huichol art that corresponded with the names of my cocktails,” explained Diaz.

Hundreds of guests, both at the welcome cocktail and the social gatherings subsequent to the main event, were delighted with the special drinks – the Blood Cora, the Macho Margarita and the Mezcal on The Beach – that Israel presented.

“Mixology Riviera Nayarit was warmly welcomed by guests, as each of the concoctions was a resounding success. The organizers were so pleased that there was even talk about this year’s celebration being better than all previous events,” shared the Mixología de Riviera Nayarit Ambassador.

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants event generates significant exposure on a global level, and Israel Diaz’s extraordinary exhibition of “Evolutionary Cocktails” will surely put the Riviera Nayarit in the spotlight on the world stage.
