Original Designs of Aguamiel Boutique in Fashion Show 2018

The 2018 Women to Women Fashion Show is excited to feature the original designs of Aguamiel Boutique in San Pancho, Nayarit. This boutique is a cooperative of several artists and area fashion designers. These vibrant, creative and talented young people are mentored by professional women’s fashion designer, Gella Naverro Lomeli and her Galion label. Aguamiel Boutique features beautiful accessories and one-of-a-kind women’s clothing.

If Gella sounds familiar, it’s because she is one of the original Fashion Show event’s Mexican designers. For the 15th year, Gella is returning to dazzle with her multi-textural designs! With over 40 years of experience in the fashion industry, this is your opportunity to get real haute couture garments. Email: jellybean2010@ live.com.mx

Gella’s trademark style is luxurious tactile combinations that artfully blend several fabric types and bold color to form a 3-D garment. As a tribute to her Mexican heritage, Gella frequently includes hand-beaded embellishments. The result is one-of-a-kind garments that have the look of artwork. Her Galion label clothes- sportswear, jackets, dresses, handbags- are sold in several stores, as well as at her San Pancho boutique, Aguamiel.

Equally talented are the contributing jewelry artists, Wesley, Oliver, and Rochelle Rivas, Gabriel Lara and Eduardo Hernández. Yep, these dynamic artists are family and the children of Gella! While Wes specializes in creating jewelry, his brother Oliver is primarily a muralist and painter who explores all forms of creative expression. Oliver has exhibited in British Columbia and throughout Mexico as well as accepting commissions. His work reflects a keen sensitivity to the complexity of the 21st century.

His wife, Jeanine, focuses on clothing designs. Her new line of clothing-being modeled in the show- features bamboo fabrics. “I like using bamboo cloth because it stays fresh in a hot climate and at the same time dirt doesn’t stick to the clothes,” said Janine. She also incorporates original hand-made silkscreen prints onto shirts and garments. The prints are original paintings by Oliver.

Wesley’s wife, Alicia, designs clothes, sandals and purses that feature weaving and embroidery. Alicia uses linen, cotton and silk in her garments for comfort and style.
