Dr. Omar Morales will speak on “Lyme Disease – It’s an Epidemic!” Lyme disease is an epidemic in the US and Canada – learn all about this mysterious yet rampant disease. He is a tic-born disease specialist. We have a multitude of people coming here for treatment.

Miscellaneous

We have a wonderful audiologist that comes once a month from the United States, Dra. Christina Boover. If you need a hearing test, if you have hearing aids that need to be tested/repaired, she is the one to see. She will be here on November 13 and 14. Please email for an appointment. She works on donation only.

We now have the 2015 flu vaccines! This is a personal decision! If you would like one, we have set days in November for these. Cost: $500 pesos. Note: The Health Department (Salud) normally has flu vaccines for free BUT we do not know when they will be available and as well, we are never sure if they are the current vaccine. For an appointment, please email us.

We also have the shingles vaccine available – please email for information!

There is a new hospital in Puerto Vallarta! Remember Hospital Cornerstone? Southside of Plaza Caracol? This is now Vallarta Medical Center. They have opened their doors this past week. I will have an office there! A full service hospital, newly remodeled, but there’s still some work being done. Watch for a Healthcare Resources Open House at the beginning of December. We are just like our physicians and we work with all of the hospitals in the area. Welcome Vallarta Medical Center! More information and activities there soon!

Skin Clinic

Price: 300 pesos – PLUS members pay 250 pesos
This is a skin cancer screening check by an oncologist (not by a dermatologist). He checks from your scalp all the way to the bottoms of your feet.

Ear Clinic
November 18, 2015
Price: 375 pesos – PLUS members pay 325 pesos
This clinic is performed by an ENT who will check inside your ears and clean if necessary. Note: This is NOT a hearing test!

Cardiac Clinic
November 19, 2015
Price: 550 pesos PLUS members pay 500 pesos
Includes consult/interview with a cardiologist, EKG, Blood Pressure check. We recommend that prior to your appointment, you have a cholesterol profile and we are offering this at a discounted price.

Vascular Clinic
November 20, 2015
Price: 400 pesos – PLUS members pay 350 pesos
Our Vascular specialist will evaluate your blood flow, varicose veins, and your risk factors for vascular disease.

Men’s Urology Clinic
November 20, 2015
Price: 700 pesos – PLUS members pay 650 pesos
Includes consult/interview with a urologist, ultrasound of kidneys, bladder and prostate, measurement of residual urine. We recommend prior to your appointment a PSA and Urinalysis and we offer these at a discounted price.

Eye Clinic
November 23, 2015
Price: 425 pesos – PLUS members pay 400 pesos
Vision exam, pressure test for glaucoma, exam and evaluation by an ophthalmologist.

Mammogram Clinic
November 24, 2015 & December 1, 2015
Price: 1,100 pesos – PLUS members pay 950 pesos
Includes a digital mammogram, breast ultrasound (if deemed necessary), manual exam and complete review and explanation of your films. This is performed by a breast specialist and oncologist.

Foot Clinic
November 25, 2015
Price: 300 pesos – PLUS members pay 250 pesos
Have a complete evaluation of your feet and toes by our foot specialist. Check for fungus, corns, and bunions – the works! Our feet take a beating on the cobblestones here.

Women’s Clinic
November 27, 2015
Price: 775 pesos – PLUS members pay 690 pesos
Includes consult, pap smear, pelvic exam by a female GYN. An optional hormone profile is available at a discounted price.

Medical Matters 2016!

This is our 6th year! Last year, we had nearly 4,000 people pass through the doors at the Hotel Marriott to visit nearly 60 health care exhibits and attending our speakers programs. This year promises to be just as good (or better!) The date is February Monday, February 15, 2016 so please, save that date! We will need volunteers, just as in the past for 2-3 hour shifts to assist. If you are available, please send me an email!

Diagnostic Procedures
We can set up any procedures that you may need – from a colonoscopy to an MRI and everything in between – without a long wait and usually at a discounted price. Just send an email. We also have complete Men’s and Women’s Check-ups available. We work with a wide variety of compassionate, board-certified professional physicians as well to attend to all of your health care needs.

Medical Insurance
We do not sell insurance but we do work with a variety of insurance representatives that handle travelers insurance, Mexican (Private) policies, international policies, air evacuation policies. Please email for information. Don’t leave home without it!
