The annual Lo de Marcos Christmas parade

The annual Lo de Marcos Christmas parade was held on Dec. 18. Local residents, Canadians and Americans participated. After the parade the children of the area (hundreds of them) received gifts from Santa, Mrs. Clause and the elves. Santa and Mrs. Clause arrived in a white horse drawn carriage. After the gifts were handed out, a stage show was presented that included the local choir singing Christmas carols, children from Casa de Ninos singing traditional Mexican Christmas songs, local dancers performing traditional Mexican folkloric dances and presentations by Mrs. Clause and local dignitaries. People from surrounding villages filled the local plaza enjoying the festivities and partaking in the $10 peso cervesa.
