The Sanitary Authority warns that one of the largest risks and the most important is that because of their low cost these illegal cigarettes will be more accessible to children and adolescents which will encourage the consumption of tobacco at a very vulnerable age.

The COFEPRIS warns that it will continue to combat the commercialization of illegal cigarettes along with the help of the 32 Secretaries of State, with the objective to lower health risks.
